Breakfast is in the dining room with ancestors on the walls, a long mahogany table and antique chairs including one that Winston Churchill sat on.

Generally during the week it starts between 7.30 and 8.30 and at weekends between 8.30 and 9.30.

If you don't feel like eggs, sausage, bacon, tomato and mushrooms try the specialité du maison,   scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on a toasted muffin or Green Eggs - a  slightly more exotic dish, or French toast and maple syrup.

Whenever possible, eggs come from our own hens and the bacon and sausages are local.

There’s also muesli, cereals, yoghurt and juice, toast  with jams and Pete's marmalade, and obviously tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Happy to do vegetarian on request - let us know in advance if you have any special requests, such as vegetarian sausages as we don't have these and we can ensure we have some for your stay.  Similarly, if you have any other dietary requests, such as decaffeinated coffee or soya milk, let us know so that we have them for when you get here.
